Our beautiful flock of mixed heritage breed laying hens spend all day finding good eats on several acres of woodland, garden, and grass. They are particularly fond of mullberries in the spring and watermelons in the summer. They do have access to vegetarian chicken feed in their house at night, but primarily find their own food. They have never been given hormones or antibiotics.
Our hens lay in nesting boxes in their “chicken hotel”, and eggs are gathered every day, generally by our 3 year old! The eggs are delicious, have deep orange yolks, and range from light to dark brown and from large to jumbo. We hope you will enjoy them as much as we do.
